Aviation-Related

Aviation is the subject that I would like to discuss. I am Matthew Yang and I really like aviation ranging from civil airplanes to airports in general. When I go to an airport, I normally can identify the IATA code of the airport and know what kind of planes can land and takeoff. The type of plane that can park at what gate and what planes cannot. For example, An Airbus 380 cannot park in an area where a CRJ-900 does. First of all, there won’t be any room. Second, the jet bridge will not be high enough to fit the aircraft for easy deplaning options. Third, the terminal would need to be constructed with dual jetways and the third one above the jetways. Another thing I know is that many airports have bags with a closed area and some with an open area. For example, baggage claims at long beach are outside the terminal because the airport was used during the roaring 20s and they would like to keep the airport with an open-air feeling. In major cities in the world, baggage claims are at the lowest level of the terminal. That is what I currently know about aviation.
